Where your data lives
EvBuddy is hosted in Norway, and your drives, locations, charging history and account details are stored there under Norwegian and EU data protection law. We do not replicate your vehicle data to servers in other regions.
We do not sell your data
We do not sell, rent or share your personal or vehicle data with data brokers, advertisers or any other third party for their own purposes — including in aggregated or "anonymised" form. Subscription revenue is what pays for EvBuddy.
We ask for as little as possible
We request only the Tesla permissions that the features you use actually require, and we do not collect personal information that would not make the service better. Location history exists so you can see your own routes and match them to your saved places — nothing else.
Processors we rely on
Running the service requires a small number of providers acting on our instructions: Tesla (vehicle data you authorise), Stripe (payments), and our email provider (sign-in links and notifications). They may process data outside Norway, and they are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Your control
You can export everything EvBuddy holds about you at any time, disconnect your Tesla account without losing your recorded history, and delete your account — which deletes your vehicle history with it.
This page describes how EvBuddy is built to behave. The binding privacy policy, with the legal detail and our contact details for data requests, is published before the first public release.
